Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of learning media used by educators in the learning process. The main purpose of this research is to produce a thematic learning media product based on animation video in the fourth grade of elementary school. This research is an R&D (Research and Development) research with the ADDIE model, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. In the implementation phase, a trial was conducted on nine fourth grade elementary school students. The instrument used in this study was a sheet of learning media validation instruments, practicality instruments in the form of a questionnaire for educators and students and effectiveness using questions adapted from students' daily assessments. The validation instrument was used to determine the validity of the integrated thematic learning media based on the designed animation video. Validation is carried out by design, material and language experts. The results showed that the animated video learning media in thematic teaching based on a scientific approach in grade IV Elementary School was very valid with a design expert validation score of 91% with a very valid category, material expert validation with a score of 100% with a very valid category and linguist validation with a score of 91%. 97% with a very valid category, and the average overall value of validation is with a score of 96% (Very Valid). For practicality results from educators, an average score of 94% is obtained with very practical assessment criteria, while for practicality nine students get an average value of 89% with very practical criteria. For the results of the effectiveness of getting an average value of 89% with very effective criteria. So it can be concluded that the development of animated video media in thematic learning based on a scientific approach in grade IV Elementary School is very valid, practical, and effective.
