Abstract

This research is motivated by the audio-visual media used by schools not fully motivating students in the learning process. The learning media used in schools is still in the form of videos downloaded from YouTube, and has not maximized learning materials that focus on students' creativity and activities in carrying out the learning process effectively. Based on this, audio visual media based on discovery learning was developed in class IV of SDN 12 Sungai Liku on theme 4, various jobs, subtheme 1, types of learning jobs 1, 2 and 3. The aim of this research is to develop audio visual media in integrated thematic learning using a model. discovery learning in class IV SDN 12 Sungai Liku. This type of research is R&D using the 4/D model (define, design, development and dissemination). The instruments used in collecting data for this development research were validation sheets, teacher response questionnaires and student response questionnaires. The research results show that the audio visual media using the discovery learning model developed is valid from material, language and design experts. In the material aspect a score of 84.32% was obtained with very valid criteria, in the design aspect a score was obtained of 96.87% with very valid criteria, while in the language aspect a score was obtained of 89.28% with very valid criteria, while in the aspect of educators' responses to Audio visual media obtained a score of 91% with very practical criteria and students' responses to audio visual media obtained a score of 72% with practical criteria. In this way, the audio visual media in class IV at SDN 12 Sungai Liku that was developed can be used as a learning medium for students.
